Conditions for DismissalStudents are subject to dismissal under the following conditions: - Failure to maintain a passing grade (minimum 70%) in two or more courses of instruction in one quarter, with the exception of Introduction to Esthetics and Anatomy & Physiology in Quarter A. - Excessive absence or tardiness from classes greater than 15% of a course’s required hours, or more than 71.5 hours total absence in the program, or more than 13.5 hours of outstanding absences per quarter. - Failure to attend class for more than 5 days without notifying the School’s Education Department. - Failure to comply with the NYIE dress code. - Failure to pay tuition on time. - Practicing esthetics without a New York State license for exchange of money or services. The student may be dismissed or terminated for the following: - Behaving in a manner that may harm one’s self, or another, or the reputation of the school. - Rude or unprofessional behavior toward a fellow student, instructor, staff member, or clinic client. - Chronic abuse of Policies & Procedures. - Misuse of NYIE property. Students will be notified of dismissal in writing. |
