Determination of Satisfactory ProgressSatisfactory progress must be maintained in order for the student to remain enrolled at NYIE. To maintain satisfactory academic progress, the student is required to: - Maintain a quarter and cumulative course average of 2.0 (minimum 70% or grade of C).
- Receive no more than one “D” or “F” grade in any quarter and no more than two “D” or “F” grades - Complete the entire program within 1.5 times than a normal duration of the program, as listed under Program options on page 3. If the student repeats a course, the higher final grade will be used in the final Core Point Average (C.P.A.). In the event the student fails to maintain satisfactory progress, NYIE will review the student’s academic record to determine if the student is capable of benefiting from continued enrollment. Students must receive a final grade of 70% or higher in order to earn credit for the course. Failure to meet the minimum passing grade requirements will result in an “F” grade for the course. The student must apply to take the course at its next offering and retake the course at an additional cost and meet or exceed the minimum-passing grade. |
